We’re incredibly excited to share a first glimpse at some of the early outcomes from the Creative Fuse project.
We’ve been working with video production company, Superkrush, to produce a series of short films that capture the range of activity we’re involved in at Creative Fuse.
Alex Hill, Founder of social media company Cambie + Co, recently took part in a Creative Fuse business innovation workshop led by Northumbria University. Get Ready to Innovate was a design-led programme which paired Alex with a team of researchers and MA students, setting her a series of design-based tasks to help Alex explore business possibilities.

At The Creative Fuse Conference,
The Creative Fuse team recently put in a bid for the Arts and Humanities Research Council’s Creative Industries Clusters Programme. This programme presented the potential to extend our unique collaboration between creative businesses and the region’s five universities until 2023 with a new project, channelling over £9m of investment into the North East.
Three North East cultural organisations are seeking responses to tenders as part of the Creative Fuse North East #NECultureIsDigital Innovation Pilot Project.
Sage Gateshead, Festival of Thrift, and Theatre Hullabaloo have come together alongside the University of Sunderland and Teesside University, to approach digital innovation development within a cultural and arts context.

Inspired by the exciting announcement of Sage Gateshead’s the #NorthIn100Songs project as part of Great Exhibition of the North, The Creative Fuse team have been trying to pull together a playlist for the occasion. The #NorthIn100Songs crowdsources the songs us northerners think encapsulate the sound of the region.
