Carl has an interest in a broad range of design areas and has worked for a number of years teaching on various Animation and Design programmes at the University of Sunderland. He has a particular interest in using coding and technology to enhance creative expression and is currently in the final stage of a PhD exploring generative processes in design.
Lee’s background is as an experienced multi-platform journalist. He started his career by launching the Liverpool Student newspaper then began a long and continuing association with leading magazine publisher Future Publishing. His career at Future began in 2000 on their flagship title, The Official PlayStation magazine, where he worked as staff writer,
Beryl Graham is Professor of New Media Art at the University of Sunderland, and is co-founder of the CRUMB platform for curators of new media art. She has curated the international exhibition Serious Games for the Laing and Barbican art galleries, and she has published extensively on new media art,
He is a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and a member of the Royal Television Society and the Design Research Society. He has significant international experience across higher education having held senior academic positions in Australia, the United Kingdom, Singapore and Mauritius.
Erin trained as an architect before moving to glass, and then on to digital technology. She has experience in digital drawing, modelling and production, and enjoys working collaboratively with people to explore and develop new ideas. Having previously worked for five years as an artist and commercial facilitator, Erin loves nothing more than an art or design challenge.
Helen project manages Creative Fuse North East, including operations and delivery, long-term strategy and legacy planning, and project compliance and reporting. She has a comprehensive overview of this project, including the work and research interests of our wider team.
