Creative Fuse Tees Valley Programme

Teesside University, in partnership with Innovate Tees Valley and Creative Fuse North East, have developed an exciting range of activities for creative businesses and freelancers in the Tees Valley area.

From an Innovation Symposium to a regular programme of boundary-breaking Rise & Design events, and a personalised, in-depth Graduate Consultancy service, the Creative Fuse Tees Valley team will give you the tools to explore practical innovation within your business.

Graduate Consultancy Programme

The Graduate Consultancy Programme will be open to around 30 businesses in the summer of 2018. Over four weeks, a team of Teesside University staff and talented graduates will work with you to embed product or process innovation within your business.

Our graduates will be supported at each stage by Creative Fuse innovation specialists at Teesside University, and will lead your business through these four stages:

  • Week 1: Innovation and Diagnostics
  • Week 2: Analysis & Ideation – you and your graduate will lead on a proof of concept, liaising with the university design team.
  • Week 3: Collaborative Partnerships for Innovation – including cross-sector collaboration, market exploration, and bid-writing assistance.
  • Week 4: Call to Action – you will be presented with a short report and action plan, outlining future steps for implementation and further opportunities for ongoing university support.

This programme is supported by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). Eligibility criteria will apply, further details and registration information will be announced in due course.

Innovation Symposium

A one-day Innovation Symposium will be held in Summer 2018 to examine practical issues and solutions for companies wanting to explore radical, breakthrough or disruptive innovation models and approaches within their business.

Sessions will be led by businesses, for businesses, and offer insights from leaders who have themselves navigated a step change in their industry.

Rise & Design

Taking our inspiration from Design Network North’s successful networking and discussion events, Creative fuse Tees Valley are teaming up with RTC North to devise a special programme that will tap into the unique expertise, challenges and opportunities of Tees Valley businesses.
